Publisher's summary
For fans of Hannah Whitten and Rebecca Ross, Unbound is a gender-bent reimagining of the classic tale of a monstrous beast and the beauty determined to tame it, set against the lush backdrop of Irish mythology and folklore.
Rozlyn Ó Conchúir is used to waiting—waiting for the king, her father, to relent and allow her to leave the solitude of her tower; waiting for the dreaded and mysterious Beast of Connacht to at last be defeated; waiting for the arrival of the man destined to win her heart and break the terrible curse placed on her and her land. So when she meets Jamie—a charming and compelling suitor—she allows herself to hope that her days of solitude and patience are over at long last.
But as she finds her trust betrayed—and newer, more sinister threats arising—Rozlyn learns that some curses are better left unbroken …

One moment, Riley Murrough is living a normal life working in a coffee shop, and the next, he’s running for his life from demons, learns he bears the mark of a shape-shifter king from a magical realm, and—worst of all—he’s destined to become the mated prince to the arrogant tiger-shifter he would rather strangle. Khalon, the shifter king, is equally distraught at the idea of being bound to a human prince, and along with his Soldati warriors, he sets out to return Riley to his own world, where he belongs.

Story
For humans, the circus is a place filled with wonder and amazement. For Harrow, though, it’s a place to hide from those who slaughtered her entire clan. Disguising her abilities as part of her act has kept her true identity safe for years. Until he arrives. A strange new attraction with no name, no memory of who—or even what—he is, let alone an explanation for his odd yet deadly powers. But beneath the layers of anger and isolation, one glimpse into his inky eyes reveals a soul that calls out to the loneliness in her own. And so she chooses him.

Captivating stories and endless true love
This tale is one of the most endearing love stories you could hope to read. The descriptive folklore and fighting of beasts is just one of the added perks. The author truly takes you on a journey of a woman not being bound to love by anything but choice. She gets to decide her terms on which way their beautiful love story plays out-all the while-she is slaying beasts and saving the world. A true must read. I hope to see more from Christy Healy!

Wonderfully written
This book is so romantic in many different ways. All characters have depth and I didn’t feel cheated in the end, because there is a point where the story could go horribly wrong, but doesn’t. I listened to it as an audiobook and will also read a hard copy after. I want to make sure I don’t miss a single bit of the story again. The author did I great job and I can not wait to read her next book.
