Loved The Twists And Turns!

This is an age gap trope with suspense, alpha males and strong women. There is also the sweetest 6 yr old girl who grew up too fast
I loved how we are introduced to the MFC who has gone through many tragedies and struggles and has found her place by being a Disney princess at birthday parties
The MMC is a retired MMA star who has a 6 yr old daughter who as a birthday and the MFC comes to do the party and then the romance. I The suspense and partying begins
Great narration and I’m hoping for more to see what the future brings. Great banter

Thos is the first book I've read/listened to by Terri Anne Browning. It's a billionaire single dad/nanny, age gap, retired MMA fighter romance. I loved the scene where Brooke meets Bella. So very sweet. Paxton's actions didn't prove to me that he was a good dad. We're told how much he cares and loves his daughter, but she seemed to come second/third to others. The twists and turns that this takes at the end was unexpected.

James Amherst and Chloe Ryan are excellent narrators. They did a beautiful job performing. Loved their voices.

Fast & fun

I really liked this—it drew me in right away with a female lead who had to rise above a very hard and dark past, and early in, introduced me to an adorable 6 year-old character who I felt was very well done.

It packs lots of drama and alludes to several dark pasts that I’d absolutely love a closer look at, but didn’t need in order to easily follow this and of course, to predict every single little lie, secret and twist.

Family Secrets

I absolutely love how Paxton Foster and Brooke Ackerman first meet. LOL! 🤣🤣 It's truly priceless.

I liked this, but for much of the book, I felt like I was missing some major details, and even though this wasn't identified as being part of a series (I stopped to check several times), I thought there was a prequel or something with details. While it turned out to be a case of several late 💣 revelations, it did leave me... restless isn't the right word, but perhaps you get where I'm going.

Bella is absolutely adorable! 💜🩷 I love how she has so many people in her corner rooting for her. The Kayla's and Janel's of the world could take a lesson.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators are James Amherst and Chloe Ryan. I liked both of them. I fairly certain this was my first time listening to either.

I really enjoyed so many things about this book. The characters, the storyline and the adorable Bella. This book just hit all my wants in a book. If I had any complaints at all was it ended too soon.

Terrific Story & Listen🎧 Engrossing & Heartfelt!

Terri Anne Browning puts her own unique spin on the billionaire single dad/nanny trope and delivers an original and multilayer story that is captivating from start to end. The characters are complex, easy to relate to and connect with. Brooke did not have the easiest of lives, works two jobs to stay ahead and at one of those jobs, a girl’s birthday party, she gets an offer for another job, a nanny position for that girl. This was after she put the girl’s father in his place more than once and then left because she ran into someone there that she hoped to never see again. Paxton was taken with Brooke almost immediately, and after seeing how she connected with his daughter, Bella, he knew he had to have her, and it turns out not just for his daughter’s nanny, because he felt a connect to her as well. I enjoyed how everything played out in this book, it is a well written and plotted, fast-paced story win non-stop drama, some angst, heartfelt emotions and a wonderful romance. Browning spun a mighty fine web connecting the characters and there were some surprising twists and connections. Thank you for this terrific story and emotional rollercoaster ride. 

🎧📚🎧 James Amherst and Chloe Ryan are versatile voice artists and they did a fantastic job bringing the characters and story to life. Their character voices and portrayal of them were fitting, and they were believable in every role, including as the two leads, Brooke and Paxton. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to and their performance elevated the story to another level. Thank you for this terrific listen.  

Great story!

This is my first book by this author. I read the blurb and it sounded like something right up my alley. It took me a little bit to really get into and connect with the characters, but once I was, I was hooked!

I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this and struggling for the first chapters to connect with the characters kind of had me wanting to DNF… HOWEVER, I DIDN’T and I am so glad I didn’t. Once the story started to flow and I got to know the characters more, I honestly couldn’t get enough and it only took me a day to devour the entire audiobook!



Brooke hasn’t had the best life, she struggles a lot with her past after being traumatised and terrorised by her stepmother and father as a child…. But that doesn’t stop her from being a sweet, kind and beautiful woman. A woman who works hard for what she has and a woman who is working hard for a good life. She currently works two jobs to stay ahead and one of those jobs is a little girl's birthday party. While at the party, after putting the single dad of the birthday girl in his place, the dad offers Brooke a nanny position.

The moment Paxton laid eyes on Brooke, he knew there was something there and he was taken by her, then add in the way she interacted and connected with his daughter Bella, and it was a no-brainer… He had to have her as a nanny and he was the type of man that when he wants something, he will get it… he doesn’t give up until he does. The thing is, it would seem that he doesn’t just want her as a nanny, it would appear that he felt an attraction and connection with her also.


This was a well-written, wonderful, fast-paced, entertaining, drama-filled, enjoyable billionaire single-dad romance with a few twists that had my jaw hitting the floor. For the most part, it was a heartfelt and sweet romance, but Brooke has a dark and emotional past which puts a dark spin on the story.

All in all, this was an enjoyable listen. I am glad I kept listening and didn’t DNF. I look forward to seeing what else the author has up her sleeve!

Good story

This is a okay story that a bit of mystery to it. It is an age gap, single dad/nanny along with a few others. It seemed there was a bit of “daddy” play going on so not really a fan of that. Paxton is over protective and possessive but otherwise he seemed okay. He goes after and gets what he wants type of guy. Brooke is sweet! What she did for his daughter at the beginning and well all throughout was great. That ending was crazy…I had to really listen hard to figure it all out.

I listened to this on audio. Chloe Ryan and James Amherst are the narrators. They both seem newish to me and did a good job.

Over all great story, interesting characters! Narration was good. I wish I could have gotten a little more of Paxton’s back story, I loved the daughter she was so sweet and cute. But that ending! Omg did it take me by surprise. This is a stand alone but it left you ready for the next book after how it ended!
