Ana Montes had spent seventeen years spying for the Cubans. She had been raised in a patriotic Puerto Rican household: Her father, a psychiatrist, was a former colonel in the US Army. Her sister worked as a translator for the FBI and helped break up a ring of Cuban spies in Miami. Her brother was also a loyal FBI agent. Montes impressed her bosses but in secret spent her breaks memorizing top-secret documents before sending them to the Cuban government. Retired FBI agent Peter J. Lapp explains the clues that led their team to catch one of the United States’ most dangerous spies.

Sales is a skill anyone can learn and master - and introverts are especially good at it once they learn how to leverage their natural strengths. Introverts aren't comfortable with traditional tactics like aggressively pushing a product or talking over a customer's objections. That's the beauty of The Introvert's Edge: it doesn't focus on the sale itself but on a sales system that helps introverts feel sincere instead of sales-y.

He’s also a dad (to two girls) in his mid-40s living in suburbia, and whose universal, relatable, family-friendly humor has created unbelievable appeal and engagement from fans from middle America to coastal elites. In 1857, a woman escaped enslavement on a North Carolina plantation and fled to a farm in New York. In hiding, she worked on a manuscript that would make her famous long after her death. The novel, The Bondwoman’s Narrative, was first published in 2002 to great acclaim, but the author’s identity remained unknown. Over a decade later, Professor Gregg Hecimovich unraveled the mystery of the author’s name and, in The Life and Times of Hannah Crafts, he finally tells her story.

New Testament scholar Michael R. Licona shows how the genre of ancient biography, to which the Gospels belong, actually allows biographers to be flexible in how they report events, construct narratives, and make arguments. Licona demonstrates that the intentional changes to the Gospels by the Evangelists are not grounds for their rejection. Instead, they are a result of the Gospel writers employing standard literary conventions for ancient biographies.

Very Informative
This was a fantastic and informative book. Dr. Naidoo makes clear the connection, in a science-based way, between what we eat and how we feel. It’s good to know that it can be within our power to limit anxiety’s affect on us.

Calm mind with food
Enlightening, based on the purpose for which I read it — nutritional psych. It’s properly researched. Used in conjunction with my other education it will serve me well.

Interesting but not new.
The reader is excellent. The book is nonjudgmental which is nice. But honestly if you ate this way you would be depressed and broke lol. I guess you could incorporate some things but it’s always about this vegan sprouted lifestyle that few can really do. Just my opinion. Still worth a listen. I listened to the whole book and did get some good take a ways.

I started with skepticism
but the science is persuasive. I appreciate the caution around pressing for 1 size fits all, as well as promoting flavorful foods with familiar (as well as a few exotic) ingredients. The idea of a Mediterranean diet, with world flavors & recipes.

Not Much New Info.
It was fine and, of course, a quality work but nothing ground breaking or new as I’d hoped. Lots and lots of antidotes. If you are well read on clean eating and/or anxiety, you won’t likely benefit much. If you are a new comer, you will definitely learn lots. As with most of these books, the recipes are a bit time consuming with expensive, hard to find ingredients … I may try 1-2.

Very informative!
I liked this book very much! The author is so informative and easy to listen to. It opened my eyes to importance of what we put into our bodies. It was enlightening to learn more about the brain-gut connection. Thank you!

A lot I heard before, a lot I hadn’t
Some really good dietary information here that I’ve implemented in the past and has worked for me. I’ve learned more in this book I plan to also work into my days.
