His voice, echoing through his writings and advocating for the preservation of forests and ecosystems continues to have an effect today. It was through John’s efforts that the Sierra Club was founded, along with the National Parks System. Because of his efforts, new national parks were designated in the United States, and today those of us who live in the beautiful nation he so loved are enjoying the fruits of his labors.In this volume, as the title simply states, John shares his own story, in his own words.
