Hey, hey, book lovers, take off those big thick glasses - this is Deadpool speaking! Sorry Marvel, somethin' happened to your copy guy. Anyway, this is my first prose novel, and they got this dude Stefan Petrucha to write it. He's good people. He's written novels and comics. But here's the thing: This book is about dogs. Dogs that turn into big nasty monsters. And then I gotta kill 'em. Thing is, I like killing people - the ones that deserve it, anyway - but I won't kill dogs. So that's what we call a character dilemma.

Taunted and tormented by other children, Matt's life was irrevocably altered after he was blinded by radioactive materials while saving the life of an old man. The payoff? An unbreakable will and a keen intelligence, helping focus the super-senses with which he was blessed during the accident. His story is one of love, pain, disappointment, and strength.

Publisher's summary
For the first time ever in audio! GraphicAudio and Dynamite Comics are proud to present The Boys, produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects, and cinematic music.
This is going to hurt!
In a world where costumed heroes soar through the sky and masked vigilantes prowl the night, someone has to make sure the "supes" don't get out of line. And someone will!
Billy Butcher, Wee Hughie, Mother's Milk, The Frenchman, and The Female are The Boys: a CIA-backed team of very dangerous people, each one dedicated to the struggle against the most dangerous force on Earth - superpower!
Some superheroes have to be watched. Some have to be controlled. And some of them - sometimes - need to be taken out of the picture. That's when you call in The Boys!
Fourteen issues adapted to GraphicAudio containing The Name of the Game, Cherry, Get Some, and Glorious Five-Year Plan. Joseph Rybandt, executive editor of Dynamite and editor of The Boys, says, “While I did not grow up anywhere near the Golden Age of Radio, I have loved the medium of radio and audio dramas almost my entire life. Podcasts make my commute bearable to this day. To have such an important and powerful piece of graphic fiction adapted into a series of audio dramas? Well, it’s perfect, innit?”
Performed by Dave Coyne; Eric Messner; Kenyatta Rogers; Matthew Bassett; Chris Genebach; Laura C Harris; Scott McCormick; Christopher Walker; Richard Rohan; Amanda Forstrom; Evan Casey; Kimberley Gilbert; Jonathan Watkins; Matthew Pauli; Dawn Ursula; Nick DePinto; Frank Britton; Jonathon Church; Scott Bruffey; Steve Wannall; Henry Kramer; Jonathan Feuer; Terence Aselford; Lawrence Redmond; Chris Stinson; Andy Brownstein; Ken Jackson; Bradley Smith; Elaine Yuko Qualter; Andrew Quilpa; Colleen Delany; Michael Glenn; Sasha Olinick; Karen Novak; Nanette Savard.

Real heroes don’t wear capes
I mean wow just wow. It’s hard to have words on how good the performance is for this. I heard these books where not as good as the tv show. The further could not be the truth. The show tries to be gritty but falls short. It’s like the difference between cooked and raw sushi.

A Great Ride
as an avid watcher of the TV series, I have admittedly been very curious about checking out the comic that inspired the show. I also have been incredibly lazy and haven't gone out of my way to find or purchase it. but just as luck would have it, I come across this audio dramatization of the comic book, which is a happy medium for me. I love everything about this. the acting is great, the story as it is adapted to this format is great, and it's different enough from the show to still be a surprise. I love this and I'm definitely going to be purchasing the other volumes.

Amazing story, but....
I absolutely LOVE this series. I've listened to it multiple times. it's INCREDIBLE and my only complaint is that Butcher sounds exactly like Michael Cain. It makes it difficult to see him as a badass.

Story was great, but it was a bit difficult listen
Overall great, but Graphic Audio has the tendency to have some hick-ups in making some indecipherable lines usually. It was the same deal with the Riyria chronicles, when they made some monstrous voices, you could just skip all scenes containing because you just won't get it anyway. And here the accent was a bit overdone. Its okay that the actor's use them, but in an audio production people should just articulate a bit better.

Not like the show...and that's good.
Some very big changes in what I was expecting after seeing the first three seasons of the show. This kept me guessing and I was sad when it was over. Definitely going to listen to the next book.

Perfect for any fan of the boys
I listened to the whole series 3 times and loved it! The only issue I have is that the narrator voices some other characters and doesn’t distinguish that voice from the other characters enough, making things confusing

Holy cow
I was a little blown away by this, being a large fan of radio dramas I was curious as to how they would convert a comic book into a audio drama. An boy did they deliver.
I especially like the voice actor they got for Homlander.
