Publisher's summary

The fourth and final novel in New York Times best-selling author Kelly Elliott’s Meet Me in Montana series fires up the passion in a story about forgiveness and finding your soul mate.

Dirk Littlewood had the world at his feet and a life he claimed to love. He was a world-champion bull rider with plenty of women to keep his nights busy and make his inner loneliness nothing but a delusion.

Dirk’s life was exactly how he wanted it.

Until it wasn’t.

The moment Merit Eden showed back up in Hamilton, Montana, everything was turned upside down. Life changed immediately, and then tragedy struck.

Merit was the only woman who could bring Dirk to his knees - and the only woman who could heal his broken past. If only he’d let her in, they could heal each other in the process.

The only thing left for Dirk to do was figure out how to not only forgive himself, but accept forgiveness from the only woman he had ever truly loved...if only he was strong enough to withstand the heartbreak.

Strong Enough is a stand-alone novel in the Meet Me in Montana series, but for a better experience the order is as follows:

  1. Never Enough
  2. Always Enough
  3. Good Enough
  4. Strong Enough

All Good Things...

I was excited to listen to Dirk's story after being so bored with Tanner and Timberlynn in the 3rd book. There was definitely a lot of drama and pain, but it was still a good story. I enjoyed how we got to watch Dirk develop and grow over the course of the series. Great book and worth the listen. It's the same male narrator as the first book, but he did a way better job narrating this story than the first one.

A good conclusion to the series

Like the others this is a good love story, but like the others lacks a clear storyline or engaging plot.

The narrators need some work especially the male who has a tendency to talk too fast and loud when his passion should be strong, soothing, and captivating.

Storyline was good but narrators not so much.

Both narrators couldn’t do other gender voices at all! The storyline was good though. I enjoyed the series.

Good Story but the H will drive you crazy!

4 Stars for me!

My rating range of this story... 3.5 - 4.25 Stars
If significant, why?

Main Character Ratings...
H = 5/10
h = 7/10

Narrator Rating(s)
M = n/a
F = 7/10
If below 5/10,why?

Was cheating involved? No
Any major triggers to be aware of? Death of a family member

Scenes with heat... Yes
What point does it start? 50%
How much of the story? 19%
Anything beyond M/F? No
If yes, explained

Heat Rating... 7/10
Clean or Fade to Black - 1 or 2
Normal to Descriptive 3-5
Detailed Descriptive Sex - 6-7
Um, Wow, Beyond Descriptive Sex - 8 or above

Was there so much sex or unrealistic sex that you rolled your eyes and/or skipped forward? Of course!

The back story... The H gave up the love of his life because he wanted the shiny object (his best friend's girl). He stays out on the PBR circuit and sleeps with anything that breathes.

The Romance... Didn't start until the 80% mark

The drama explosion... The H runs and hides when life throws a curve ball
Did it feel Real, OK or contrived? Contrived
Was it OTT? Yes
Separation involved? Short
Was it resolved properly or rushed? Ok

Final Notes... I liked this story better than the previous two stories but they all suffer from the same plot device. It takes way too long for the MCs to start to grow together so each ending seems rushed.

Best for last!!!

OMG! I loved the whole series, but Dirk’s story was an amazing emotional rollercoaster. I laughed and cried… and couldn’t put it down. Thank you for a beautiful story (and series).

Great story

I loved listening to Dirk and Merit’s story and seeing these two fall in love. I also loved seeing all the other couples again throughout this book and the friendships. Narrators did a wonderful job bringing the characters and story to life and conveyed all the different emotions that gave me all the feels. This was a great way to end this series which I loved.

Great ending

Personally I feel like this story was forced and rushed towards the end. Dirks relationship with Merit was definitely there don’t get me wrong but how they came to understand one another and their own feelings was either forced or rushed. Especially towards the end. However I do love the actual ending of all the Shaw brothers and Dirk got their own happy ending!

Saved the Best Until Last!

This is a great example of what a narrator can do to an audiobook. I haven’t liked the last two audiobooks in the series, but the story was good. I love the first one and I realized halfway through this book that it was the same male narrator. Alexander Cendese has a way of emerging himself into the characters with such excitement. I laughed and I cried with him. Dirk was my favorite of all of the men, and that’s saying a lot because they were all HOT! 🔥I loved this series, but I wish that Ty and Tanner had better narration, especially the second book in which Kaylee is supposed to have a southern accent. The women narrators in the first and last audiobooks met their match as well. I never tired of listening to the story. It felt like I was living my life with them and that they were my friends. It makes me want to move to Montana and find people like the Shaw family. Ha!
I also love the fact that although this book was steamy, it wasn’t as much as the previous book when it felt like it was all about lust and not love. This was a love story in the making and it was very good. I totally recommend listening to the first and fourth book, but we do the second and third.
