Interesting

An interesting mystery this time around. Lots of suspects, twists and turns. I like how Bree handles her job and juggles it with taking care of her niece and nephew. A work in progress, but she is working on it. Her relationship with Matt is evolving nicely. Yep! I am still reading this series as the books come available. Although, this time I listened on Audible. The narrator, was alright. Her style seemed like I was listening to an old episode of Dragnet though. Not a lot of emotion, if any at all. The story was good though.

Brie Taggert and Matt do it Again

Another great chapter in the Brie Taggert saga. Complex edge of seat mystery. Look forward to the next book in this series!

Family and police work cohesiveness

There really isn’t anything that I don’t like about this book. I enjoy the Bree Tagert series. And if you like a good mystery/police drama I think you’ll like this series

Language

I automatically read every book Melinda Lee writes. I love her books. However, what was up with all the language in this book? I don’t remember ever hearing so many f bombs in her books. In my opinion it took away from the story. It just wasn’t necessary to use f bombs.
Otherwise it was another great book.

Yay! Reading on release day 💃🏻🕺🏻This one is prolly my favorite of the series. So far, that is 😉 I love to see the growth in Bree and Matt, both individually as well as their relationship. Looking forward to book nine. It’s a cross-country crossover with Mercy Kilpatrick!

Thrills and suspense!

This twisty suspense thriller is my favorite of the Bree Taggert series so far!
Bree and Matt investigate the bodies of several women found off a wilderness trail. The story leads you in one direction then takes a sharp turn in another. I honestly didn’t guess the killer and was surprised by the motive. The subplots are just as interesting and throw the reader off the trail of the killer.
Great story with great narration!

Another great one

Love this series and this book is an excellent addition to the series. I love how Bree follows one lead after another to find the killer. Did not see the twist towards the end coming, but Bree was able to put the clues together. I cannot wait until the next one in the series comes along. I have never been disappointed with the series. Well done Melinda Leigh! Thank you for writing this great series.

Bree Taggert - Need I Say More?

As a flu epidemic sweeps through the Sheriff's department, as well as Sheriff Bree Taggert's family, she and Matt Flynn must find a killer or killers torturing and murdering young women. With limited resources, a rising body count, and threats to Bree's family, the stakes couldn't be higher. Once again, Melinda Leigh brings us a chilling tale that also manages to contrast the best and the worst of family. I look forward to more from Bree and Matt and hope to see more interaction with their family, as well.

Jump started from the first page! Great narration keeps you listening to the twists and turns. Great to see the growth Bree and the kids and her relationship with Matt. Fantastic listen!
