The word conquer has changed meaning for Bryan Anderson. As a U.S. army sergeant in Iraq, it meant taking down the enemy. After becoming Iraq’s fourth triple amputee from a roadside explosive, what he had to conquer got a bit more personal. On October 23, 2005, the moment Bryan looked down and realized he no longer had legs, he cracked a joke. It was a tragedy that could break many, but Bryan transformed it into something positive, something that propelled him forward.

When Richard “Frosty” Hesson was first approached by a young Jay Moriarty in 1990, the skinny kid with a sparkle in his eye only wanted one thing from the icon: His help in becoming a better surfer. Hesson, one of the first to conquer the huge waves off northern California known as Mavericks, recognized that the kid “had a vision.” Jay quickly demonstrated a resolve that reminded Frosty of his younger self, pursuing his goal with a seriousness far beyond his years. His attitude and work ethic earned Frosty’s respect and, eventually, his friendship.

In early 2012, Jim Tselikis visited LA and met up with his cousin Sabin Lomac. Over a few drinks they waxed nostalgic about their childhood in Maine, surrounded by family, often elbow deep in delicious lobster while gathered around the picnic table. From this strong memory was born the very first Cousins Maine Lobster food truck. Smart, authentic marketing, and sustainable, delicious ingredients helped turn that one food truck into an overnight sensation.

Throw Out Fifty Things is truly an eye-opener. According to Blanke, our lives are so filled with junk from the past--from dried up tubes of crazy glue to old grudges--that's it's a wonder we can get up in the morning, never mind go to work, care for our children and parents, and just put one foot in front of the other. Blanke wants to start a movement of people across America throwing out 50 things (magazines count as one!) that will help liberate us from the stuff - both physical and mental - that clutters our lives.

Meet a genuine American folk hero cut from the homespun cloth of America's heartland: Sam Walton, who parlayed a single dime store in a hardscrabble cotton town into Wal-Mart, the largest retailer in the world. The undisputed merchant king of the late 20th century, Sam never lost the common touch. Here, finally, inimitable words. Genuinely modest, but always sure of his ambitions and achievements. Sam shares his thinking in a candid, straight-from-the-shoulder style. In a story rich with anecdotes and the "rules of the road" of both Main Street and Wall Street, Sam Walton chronicles the inspiration, heart, and optimism that propelled him to lasso the American Dream.

This is an amazing book for all. The author wrote and narrated his own book. The author teaches us in simple way full of humour for everyone to learn. I love the fact that the writer shared his personal experiences. The book is not deceptive and aligns with its title. I would recommend the book for all.

A well rounded book i would recommend anyone read. Taking life less seriously is the key to happiness in my opinion, and this book not only reassures that but tells you exactly how to do it. It shows us real life experiences we can learn to laugh at, how dumb mistakes are opportunities to learn, how to be happy with our past choices. And so much more. Truly a truly valuable audiobook.

Great book filled with advice and humor!
It's easy to get caught up in the seriousness of life with things like work, school, taking care of errands, etc...Tom does a great job with this book and teaching his readers on how not to take life that seriously, enjoy the little things, and making the best out of a bad situation. A lot of great advice and funny humor is packed in this book! I enjoyed learning about Tom's real life experiences as well. I will definitely recommend this book to the people around me and you should too!

Interesting but listens like a memoir.
Tom did a great job using his personal situations and experiences to show how life can be funny. He is a great storyteller, and listening to him was easy. Unfortunately, I think he put more into telling his stories than he did into giving me plausible solutions for being less stressed in everyday situations. Also, I find the title a bit strange as it doesn't give me any information on what to expect from the book. The subtitle, however, is more informative.

Less is more
In the presence of so many crises and it looks like the world might end soon, and with many people being aggressive daily, it is very important to have calmness and rest of mind. We do reveal a little bit about ourselves in the way we act .
This book really does a great job in presenting areas were one can work on being a better person, especially if you're not contented with your life, your job, or even with yourself.
The book doesn't just point out areas that will make life better, itis also funny, or rather it presents it in a humorous way and makes you listen more.
The narration of the book was good and pleasing to the ear. The content, as discussed above, was adequate

Sometimes we work so hard for happiness...
Sometimes we work so hard for happiness that we don't give ourselves the chance to be happy. Our outlook alone can affect so much if we just let ourselves be content while we're working towards our goals. And we miss out on so much by worrying about what other people are thinking. Focus on the positive and take it one day at a time.
Enjoyed that the author and narrator are the same. Made the message and stories feel more genuine.

Excellent!! Much needed
Without even knowing it, this book was exactly what I needed. Phrases like “choose happy” and “happy vibes only” started to bother me because I knew it wasn’t that simple. This book teaches us how to achieve those sayings in simple yet effective ways that also help us grow as a person. I will definitely be keeping this audiobook on hand whenever I need a pick-me-up or a good laugh!

Great advice on how to live on life well!
The audiobook is a great book I’ve ever listen before. It is all about how to enjoy your life when it is tough and stressful. Since you listen to this book, I am sure you will be much happier than before. I certainly enjoyed this. The book was narrated very clearly and easily to understand. Loads of the author’s life stories are interesting. Life is too short, be happy! Please grab it when it is still on the market, you won’t regret it.
