Loved the book! Felt like it jumped a little bit but was a great read (listen)

Captivating and inspiring story

Excellent storytelling and audio performance. The author weaves his own personal story with the history of Cerro Gordo and the two slowly become intertwined. The book is sprinkled with bouts of wisdoms and philosophy. I feel inspired to live with more clarity and intention.

This was an amazingly well written documentary. This is how you use curse words.... the 2 times I caught it was well placed and the fact that they were there truly emphasizes the point. Ty still subscribed on yt aswell.

point of view breaks the cycle of everyday struggles and gives a new way to tackle your daily tasks. Started the book and couldn't stop listening till the end .

Great Job Brent

I learned of Brent's journey on you tube during the pandemic. Watching every episode - I was afraid the book/audible would be the same as his videos. But it's not - sure the story line and the events are the same - Brent did a great job in telling a more in depth story - as books can sometimes do - he also delves more into his struggles and the characters that adorn seqoro - Great Job Brent - very interesting and great listen book - all the best - one day I will visit your ghost town - but I'm going to wait until you get some luxury's first - LOL

An incredible story of RESILIENCE!

Brent's resilience and excitement about this old Silver Town is an incredible story! Loved watching his YouTube channel from his first post to current times...and this book is a deeper insight to how Brent manages the living history of Cerro Gordo! Love Brent's voice and the flow of this audiobook!

How to test yourself

I truly feel like I went on a journey with the author of this book. Even though it is a true story, I enjoyed the vivid details that feel like they could only come from a creative writing expert. I enjoyed reading about his knowledge to use his own mind and feet todiscover. The ability to stay curious and make a permanent record for something, however,in permanent it is, helps me motivate myself and others to get out in the world and use their own feet to chart what they have in front of them.

I’ve enjoyed watching Brent and Ghost Town Living from day one and this book is a great story of that journey and very well done. A captivating story that I look forward to seeing continue for many years. I hope someday to get there.

Fascinating and inspirational

I preordered cause I love watching the YouTube channel on Saturday mornings and find the discoveries fascinating. But hearing the authors thoughts and motivations I am walking away from the book inspired!
