Publisher's summary
It is June 1940. The war against Hitler’s forces is raging. And the tide is turning against the British. In this hour of despair, Prime Minister Winston Churchill receives a mysterious letter from an even more mysterious woman, offering a Faustian bargain and a promise of victory. But if Churchill accepts, will he be condemning his nation’s very soul?
Darkness Visible is based on the graphic novel of the same name, written by Mike Carey and Arvind Ethan David, and stars Christian McKay as Winston Churchill and Miranda Richardson as Lady Vivian.
Earworms is a series of short, speculative fiction dramas–tales of what might have been...or might yet be...or perhaps in fact are, if only you were paying attention...if only you were listening.

It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. Ida Pederson was an executive at ‘Nyberg Shoreline’ when she was sent to the small Northern Irish village of Port Kriel to diffuse tensions between the company and the local community. When an unexploded bomb was identified on the seabed near Nyberg’s windfarm, Ida sent a local crew of eight men to investigate. That night, only two men returned home, barely alive and unable to speak of what had happened out at sea.

When the call came it seemed like the answer to my prayers. My career as a voice actor had been over for months and me and my little girl Scarlet were living back at my mum’s place. I felt like a failure professionally—and with Scarlet having problems at school, as a parent as well. So, when I was asked to narrate a new book by disappeared novelist Philippa Roberts I jumped at the chance, even if it meant leaving Scarlet with my ex, Hugo, for a few weeks. Hugo, with his perfect new home and his perfect new girlfriend Saskia. But this isn’t a dream come true. It’s a nightmare.

Fun blend of History and the supernatural
I always enjoy stories that incorporate real history with some fantastical story telling. It’s a rather quick story, but the production is on point.
I wish the ending was a bit more fleshed out and wasn’t so abrupt. But if you’re just wanting a super quick listen, it’s not a bad choice.

I love the tight story, the seamless blend into real history. My only gripe is that the ending seemed rather abrupt but it was mostly cause I didn’t want it to end

Interesting
Very interesting alternative take on WW-2 history. Curious to see what happens next. I enjoyed the performances; Richardson is excellent as always and the personification of Churchill was really good.

Churchill was well performed.
I enjoyed the performance but found the ending a bit trite and muddled. Overall, it was fun till the wrap-up.

Hmm
Right when it seemed like it was just starting to get good it was over. Wish it was a longer story

Fast and fun
I like the different voices of characters better in a short story. This was like a short play. I liked it

100% true
This performance is 100% what occurred in World War 2.
The Bad Guys won the war and Stalin, mentally ill as he was, was manipulated by Devils. He thankfully learned.

Very other wold based.
It was an interesting story, but very far fetched in my opinion. The auto production elements were good. just not really my kinda story.
