Publisher's summary

From New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby comes an all-new Small Town, Friends to Lovers, Law Enforcement romance.

Summer Quinn’s life changed five years ago when she walked in on her boyfriend and her best friend in bed together. She silently left, ghosting both of them, and never looked back. She came to Bitterroot Valley, looking for a fresh start, and that’s exactly what she got.

After purchasing the local floral shop from her eccentric aunt and finding herself again in the absolute delight she brought to the community, Summer feels welcome and safe in her new home.

But things have started to happen. At first, she could blow it off as bad luck, or kids starting trouble. But then the bad luck turns into serious, life-threatening incidents that can’t be ignored.

Bitterroot Valley is Chase Wild’s town. His family settled the area almost a hundred and fifty years ago, and as a police officer, Chase takes pride in keeping his community safe. Sure, he’s had his eye on the gorgeous florist since she moved to town, but he’s kept his relationship with her strictly professional.

Now, someone’s trying to scare Summer. She claims she doesn’t know why, but Chase is determined to get to the bottom of it and drive the danger out of his town. As time passes, and the more he gets to know Summer, the harder it is to keep his hands off of the beautiful woman. With their connection growing, he’s falling in love with her and will do anything to keep her safe.

As Chase learns the truth of who is threatening Summer, will he be able to protect her, and will their love withstand the challenges ahead?

Chasing Wild is a standalone, contemporary romance novel, and book two in the picturesque Wilds of Montana series.

Chase & Summer

This is a sweet, small town, suspenseful and slightly spicy story about a sassy female flower shop owner, her cute French bulldog, and the hot and Wild cop-carpenter-cowboy that falls in love with her. Because I enjoyed this book, I went back for book 1, and look forward to the rest of the series. The narration was performed by Connor Crais and Stella Hunter and was wonderful! Between family members, wedding guests, and townspeople, they each had lots of characters to perform and they handled them all brilliantly.

Narrators are excellent. Story was predictable.

Nothing sexier in my opinion than a cowboy who’s also a cop. Add to that, he builds beautiful furniture and well, I’m totally smitten. And so is Summer.

Also loved the “girl gang” that Summer becomes a part of. They are young, smart business owners. We have Chase’s sister, his soon to be sister in law, and their best friends. And then they move forward with a women owned business club. Go girls!

A big part of this story is Remington Wild and Erin Montgomery’s wedding because Summer owns the local florist shop and is handling the flowers for this star studded wedding to be held on the Wild ranch. (You can meet Remington and Erin in book 1, Wild For You.).

There’s a little subplot involving wealthy Wild brother, Ryan, and a foster teenager that will melt your heart and I’m looking forward to them being featured in the next book.

Summer is being terrorized throughout this story and the evil doer is more than obvious, but it is charming to see Chase always there for her as the protective law enforcement hero.

a little tired but good story

I kept thinking this story was apart of a couple different series from other authors before I realized it wasn't. some of the names and story lines were very familiar from other books. this had its own things going for it too. I was able to see the twist coming from the beginning but it was still a good listen. loved this couple. the narrators were the best part.

Chasing Wild !!!

Summer Quinn didn’t expect that her crappy day could get any worse, but walking in on her boyfriend cheating on her with her bestfriend was for sure worse . So Summer packed up her life, including her adorable dog Lily, and without telling anyone she left everything else behind as she went on to start her new life . Now it’s been a few years and we find her in the small Montana town of Bitterroot Valley with a booming florist business and some incredible best friends . But Summer thinks it could be time to finally let someone into her life .. and that someone is none other than the handsome cowboy cop that has been a constant in her life ever since moving into town, Chase Wild .

Chase Wild is the sheriff of this small town but also is a cowboy .. lord help us all with his swoon factor . Chase adored by all in town and wanted by all the women but no one has caught his eye . That is until a beautiful blonde florist moves into town and steals all of his focus away . Chase knows she has high walls but he is willing to put in the time and effort to break them down with her . But as things start slowly happening to Summer that seem so out of the blue and can’t be traced .. Chase knows he must figure the case out quick before she runs again .

THIS IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SMALL TOWN SERIES AND WE ARE ONLY AT BOOK TWO !!!! I’m addicted to whatever it is Kristen puts into her books because holy bananas I can’t get enough . Chase Wild is down right dirty and I have never loved the mouth of a man more !! And can we talk about how he is a man OBSESSED with his woman .. I mean Summer never stood a chance once he set his eyes on her . Summer is such an amazing business woman, friend, boss, just the best human . She knows her walls and trauma are there but she is constantly working with Chase to overcome them . Oh and I also want to be part of the Iconic Women’s Collective . The twists and turns of the romantic suspense element were just as amazing as book one and did not disappoint . Book 3 is Ryan Wild and boy oh boy I am ready for him .

Did I mention that Chase is a COWBOY COP who has the BEST DIRTY TALKING MOUTH ? Ohkay just wanted to make sure !!!

This is book two in The Wilds of Montana series and it can be read as a complete stand alone .

Book two of the Wilds

I thought this was a wonderful book. Chase and Summer have known each other for several years but she wasn't ready to date at that time. Now Summer owns her aunt's flower shop. Chase is a police officer in Bitterroot Valley. Summer is having mysterious experiences happen to her. Chase insists on installing security systems for her. They become close and Chase can see her in his life permanently. I like how Summer is independent but knows when to accept help from Chase. The Wild family is close and they care about everyone in their family and friends. I thought Stella Hunter and Connor Crais brought Summer and Chase to life. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.
