Resumen del Editor

On account of the superficial points of agreement between Islam and Christianity, many don't see how tremendously deep the divides between them really are, and fewer still have considered the evidence for each faith. How is jihad different from the Crusades? Can we know the life of Jesus as well as the life of Muhammad? What reason is there to believe in one faith over the other, and what difference can the Gospel really make?

In No God but One, New York Times best-selling author Nabeel Qureshi takes listeners on a global, historical, yet deeply personal journey to the heart of the world's two largest religions. He explores the claims that each faith makes upon believers' intellects and lives, critically examining the evidence in support of their distinctive beliefs. Fleshed out with stories from the annals of both religions, No God but One unveils the fundamental enduring conflict between Islam and Christianity - directly addressing controversial topics like jihad, the Crusades, Sharia, the Trinity, and more.

Listeners of Qureshi's first book, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus, will appreciate his careful and respectful comparison of Islam and Christianity. Both religions teach that there is No God but One, but who deserves to be worshiped, Allah or Jesus?

A must read for Muslims and Christians!

Author Nabeel Qureshi has done it again. Another phenomenally written book. It is jam- packed with insightful information and comparisons between Islam and Christianity. If you are looking for a book that breaks down each religion and give you truthful facts, look no further than No God but One: Allah or Jesus?. Nabeel's narrative is done so well. His performance of the book is spot on, hitting the right inflection at just the right time. Thank you Nabeel for writing a much needed book in our world today.

very good insight on how a Muslim looks at Christ

this was a very good deep dive into the differences between Christianity and Muslim and what a Muslim thinks about when you say Christ and the difference is between the Christian God and the Muslim God. this is a very good book and very useful information.

Detailed, well informed and engaging

I will start by acknowledging that this is an obviously controversial topic. I did not read this book for ammunition against my numerous Muslim friends but out of genuine interest for the case for and against the various historic and theological criticisms that fly both directions between these two great faiths. In that respect the author more than delivered. His perspective is openly biased but is well informed and at least sympathetic on a human level to those who are members of both camps.

I would have appreciated a little more specific coverage of a few points, most specifically his assertion that mathematical patterns and prophecies similar to those cited within the Quran can be found in other works. He mentions Moby Dick in this section but does not go as far as I would like.

Overall though the book is well organized, easy to follow, thorough, and engaging to those with a genuine interest. Presented well with no significant mispronunciations I can cite.

Fact driven observation vs manipulated chaos

Nabeel Qureshi sets example of how we should examine what we believe. Whether it be mathematical supposition or scientific Siri, the Bible or the Koran or anything else for that matter. He examines the proposed facts of everything and applies the same level of sharp-edged scrutiny to All Things examined. It either stands up with facts for a foundation and cannot be shaken or it is nothing more than manipulation rumor and supposition faklis foundationless and cannot stand. So many things have Muslim faith of the carandai Deeds the suppose history of the Prophet Muhammad are so easily shaken are so readily proven to be baseless and factless. Or the facts tear down what is believed. In regard to the Bible Nabil spends more time discussing his former faith of Islam, how dates and how they came about the Kuran how it came about what has been changed what is been taken out what is been destroyed what has been altered and abrogated. is examination of the profit shows him not to be the man that he has proposed to be and all the stories told in all the mosques. Nabil has said that he stopped being a Muslim when he studied the life of Muhammad he started being a Christian when he study the life of Jesus. it's amazing examination of the facts amazingly done in love could be the turning point for a lot of Muslims could to the turning point for a lot of atheists could be the turning point for anyone seeking and not sure where to look. Enjoy. God bless in Jesus name

A strong (but loving) critique of Islam

If you could sum up No God but One: Allah or Jesus? in three words, what would they be?

Jesus Christ wins.

Have you listened to any of Nabeel Qureshi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have also listened to Qureshi's Answering Jihad. Qureshi, being the author of the book, knew just where he wanted to emphasize things in the book. He read it quite well. This book, being the more exhaustive of the two, took a bit longer to process. But, Qureshi's performance was fantastic.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My reaction was that of extreme gratitude. This is a good hard look at foundational Islamic doctrine and epistemology. Qureshi doesn't pull punches, but he is assuredly fair in his critique.

Any additional comments?

An important book to read today for the continuing debate over the place of Islam in the world and in the U.S.

Excellent!

A very interesting book about a topic that receives little attention in our (post)modern evaluation of different worldviews, which tend to view all religions as basically the same. Since Nabeel Quereshi has an inside perspective from both Islam and Christianity, this makes it even the case even more trustworthy and compelling. A mustread for everyone interested in the history of religion, worldview analysis, faith and reason!
