Felix's life on Earth had become a series of dead-end jobs, ruined relationships, and rotating apartments smaller than most postage stamps. By all accounts, even his own, he was a coward. Too afraid to move forward, to take risks. Yet when given the chance to choose between risking his life or walking away from a deadly encounter, he didn't hesitate. Moments before his untimely demise, Felix was snatched from earth and thrust into a magical world known only as "The Continent". Empowered by the "System", he learns that he can strengthen himself through combat and dedication.

Story
Conquering dungeons and using them to grow has long been the most efficient way to become a powerful adventurer. The only thing keeping the process from being easy is the Beasts that inhabit these places. Questions plague those entering this particular place of power: Where do the ‘rewards’ of weapons, armor, and heavy gold coins come from? Why is a fluffy bunny charging at me? For abyss-sake, why are there so many monsters? Cal has all of the answers to these age-old questions for a very simple reason. He is a Dungeon Core, a soul forced against his will into a magical stone.

Story
Eric was as shocked as everyone else when the apocalypse struck, but unlike his mother's movie, there were no chosen heroes destined to fight the beast hordes now overrunning the planet. Just people trying desperately to survive. Yet there was a glimmer of hope that humanity could hold on to. A chosen few really could level up in this brave new world, and embrace magic, adventure, and the potential for limitless power!

Story
Many centuries before the age of Man, as the ancient chroniclers tell, Tabor, the second greatest kingdom on earth, was under siege. The king had died in battle, and the queen had died in childbirth. As the enemy was closing in, the infant heir escaped far away to the tiny hamlet of Streamside. Brought up in a boisterous tavern by his brother Jacoby, Young Nathaniel could not know that the trumpets of war had again sounded and that a greater army than ever, its leaders bent on revenge and world dominion, threatened a vastly weakened Tabor. He would be forced onto a quest of unparalleled magic.

Good Story. Hate will probably be 3 years before next.
Like the story yes the burn out is real. I'm sure the writer feels the same. That being said run up was good the beginning slow mid not too bad and the end great. But, again don't make us wait mutable years for next. Loves the books.

good story. progressed well. not the biggest Luke Daniels fan. He's okay, but people voices change from book to book and there's not a ton of variation between morose, excitement, shouting, whispering etc.

it's a very good series I really hate the trope that the author uses where every character is always super tired and sleepy it's so dumb but other than that it's a great story

an uninspired story, read by a narrator who doesn't bring much with their performance; taking what little enjoyment of the plot sounding like even they could barely stay awake.

Uninspired and generic
Very disappointed in this installment. It just didn't spark the imagination and shared discovery the previous books did.. Character development was stagnent and I found the main character either too gratuitous or whiney. By the 24th chapter I called it quits as the magic just wasn't there for me.
