Resumen del Editor

If you love the dragons of Fourth Wing and Eragon with the classic world building of Mercedes Lackey and Brandon Sanderson, you'll love The Oathbreaker's Daughter!

“What’s his name?” she had asked.
“I call him Titan.”
Jenna cocked her head a bit, her brow knitted in some confusion and replied, “That’s what you call him, but what’s his name?”

For a thousand years, the Dragonknights of Nahrea have maintained a steady peace between their nations and enforced the laws of their kings.

A twenty year old woman named Jenna has always believed herself destined to be one of the twenty five Dragonknights of Abrea, just like her father before her.

There's only one problem - she's a girl, and it is well known across the world that women are not strong enough to forge the Link necessary to control the great beasts.

But Jenna doesn't care. While other girls played and dreamed about boys, Jenna spent her childhood learning the bow from her mother and the sword from a one-armed former Protectress.

Her chance has arrived. With the death of a Dragonknight, his place in the Brotherhood must be filled. Jenna will prove to her mother, Abrea, and the world that she has the strength to fly!

A story about a strong, determined FMC and her dream of becoming a Dragonknight

I really loved Jenna's journey. She is sassy, resilient and fierce. This story feels like a classic fantasy novel with all the political conflict, interesting characters and animal companions.

The story was action packed and I loved how determined Jenna was to follow her dream. But the ending is really what made this such a phenomenal read for me.

I have been tetering between a 4 and 5 star rating for this only because I wanted a little more relationship building overall, whether a romantic relationship or a close friend...I feel them coming but I just needed a bit more connection.

I received an audiobook code from the author in a giveaway and am treating this as an ARC. I am leaving my review voluntarily and honestly.

Thank you again to Martin for this opportunity. I am anxiously awaiting Book 2 in 2025!
