Publisher's summary
Tell me, little butterfly, what would you do for love?
In the wake of a crushing defeat, Tisaanah and Maxatarius have been ripped apart. Tisaanah is desperate to rescue Max from his imprisonment, even as her people's fight for freedom grows more treacherous. But within the walls of Ilyzath, Max's mind is a shadow of what it once was . . . leaving his past a mystery and his future at the mercy of Ara's new, ruthless queen.
Meanwhile, in the Fey lands, Aefe has been dragged back into this world by a king who vows to destroy civilizations in her name. But even as her past returns to claim her, her former self is a stranger.
Tisaanah, Max, and Aefe are thrust into the center of a cataclysm between the human and Fey worlds. The unique magic they share is key to either winning the war, or ending it.
But that power demands sacrifice. Tisaanah may be forced to choose between love and duty. Max cannot forge his future without confronting his past. And Aefe must decide between reclaiming who she was, or embracing who she has become.
The choices they make will either reshape this world forever . . . or end it.
Contains mature themes.

I still can't decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me. Then there's Jaxon Vega. Story
My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods...or monsters. I still can't decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me. Then there's Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn't felt anything for a hundred years. But there's something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what's broken in me. Which could spell death for us all.

Story
The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi-pure-bloods-have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals-well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: Become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures. Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway.

Great End to an Amazing Series!
I listened to the trilogy consecutively and it’s such an amazing ride. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and watch them fall, rise and grow. Max and Tisaanah such a richly developed relationship. I’ll never get over it. Highly recommend this series!

Amazing
The story was captivating. The ending seemed realistic as well. It captured so many peoples reasons for doing harmful things, all while wanting to protect their people.

Not only do I love the narration but this storyline was unique. It didn’t leave me bored or already guessing what the plot was going to be. It was tragic, magical, and I loved every second

Exciting, lovely and alluring read (listen)
I loved how this book was read, the narrators voices painted the picture of the characters well and placed them in the right setting too. The story was awesome, I enjoyed the adventure with bits of love and longing, introspection, humor and learning. I enjoyed how it started with Tissana and then rotated among the characters for a full perspective, and I especially love the Epilogue that’s added to the end to tie up all the loose ends. I’m really looking forward to getting the prequel book, when it comes out next year, the story was so drawing for me, I finished listening to all 3 books in 4 days 🥰❤️, I couldn’t stop listening!

Excellent Series and Narrators
Death reaps death. War reaps war. Revenge reaps vengeance. Every villain is the hero of their own story. The book and series is narrated by three characters in first person and the story spans over 500 years and not ever villain is evil and not ever hero is sparkling. There are a lot of grey characters in the series and a lot of love, betrayal, pain, death and heartbreak as the humans and Fae fight each other and themselves. The book/series made my heart soar in some places and in others places it broke. Love can break a person and it can heal even when revenge is all one can see. If you love fantasy and fantasy romance this is a book/series to pick up. This book in chapters gutted me.
I listened to this series and both narrators are superb.
