Resumen del Editor

This classic expose of the Fed has become one of the best-selling books in its category of all time. Where does money come from? Where does it go? Who makes it? The money magician's secrets are unveiled. Here is a close look at their mirrors and smoke machines, the pulleys, cogs, and wheels that create the grand illusion called money. A boring subject? Just wait. You'll be hooked in five minutes. It reads like a detective story - which it really is, but it's all true.

This book is about the most blatant scam of history. It's all here: the cause of wars, boom-bust cycles, inflation, depression, prosperity. Your world view will definitely change. Putting it quite simply, this may be the most important book on world affairs you will ever read.

The 5th Edition includes a no-holds barred analysis of bank bailouts under the Bush and Obama Administrations that are shown to be nothing less than legalized plunder of the American people. Many other updates have been added, including a revision to the list of those who attended the historic meeting at Jekyll Island, where the Federal Reserve was created.

Riveting novel. Oh and it's economic history.

Would you listen to The Creature from Jekyll Island again? Why?

Yeah. G. Edward Griffin somehow found a way to make the history of the Federal Reserve interesting. I learned a lot. I am realizing I have so much more to learn about finance and econ, and I am grateful to an author who can keep me wanting to listen to anything about them. He does a great job making this important knowledge not only easy, but enjoyable to digest.

Any additional comments?

The book has almost a detective feel to it, as it tells the story of a crime that was and is committed against the American people. The story feel is the best part. And learning the concepts doesn't feel too much like learning, but more like hearing a crime story unfold. So serious thanks to this author for a very important book. If it would've been written with a little more character development just to draw you in more it would've been even better in my opinion.

Unbelievable revelations

What made the experience of listening to The Creature from Jekyll Island the most enjoyable?

The Factual support for the incredible statements made in this book, made this book one of the most memorable I have ever read. Each and every incredible assertion and fact is footnoted with the source of the fact. It will open your mind to what real history has happened in the U.S.No one, who thinks he knows American history and the economy, truly knows it without reading this very important book.

Have you listened to any of Mark Bramhall’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The reading performance is very good and makes the material easier to listen to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The degree of uncovered knowledge from this book is life altering.

Any additional comments?

Every voting American SHOULD be made to read this book. After reading this book, one can truly say truth is stranger than fiction. You'll listen to it more than once.

A disturbing look at reality

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book should be read by everyone, especially those with complacent socialist leanings. It is well documented, and forecasts a grim future unless there is a major change in our culture. It outlines very well how "1984" is coming to pass.

EVERYONE should read this book

If the information in this book were to become common knowledge I can only imagine the kind of world we would begin to experience. It is the first step to throwing off the chains of our debt servitude and free range slavery we unknowingly experience everyday of our lives.

Essential knowledge for all who want a positive future

This book should be read and studied by anyone who truly needs to understand money, banking, politics and history from the late 17th century till now. It is heavily footnoted from primary sources and therefore constitutes a valuable contribution to original scholarship, yet is so well written that it engages non academic readers in addition to academic historians. Once read and understood, the reader's views of money and politics will be changed forever.

Good Reading

It was interesting to hear how the federal reserve got started. Most of the book was factual, but the end may be stretching.

The historical and global "connections" are quite astounding.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book had such a significant impact on me that I purchased the hard copy so that I could have the footnotes and sources.
